Ingredients Notes:
- 4 chicken pieces (drumsticks, thighs, etc.)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 cups vegetable oil (for frying)
Recipe Notes: Perfectly crispy fried chicken is made easy with a Dutch oven. The high sides and even heat retention of the VAV GET Dutch oven make it ideal for frying, giving you golden, crispy chicken every time. Be sure to fry in batches to prevent overcrowding.
Instructions:
- In a shallow bowl, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
- Heat the vegetable oil in the Dutch oven over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- Coat each piece of chicken in the flour mixture and gently place it in the hot oil.
- Fry the chicken for 10-12 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
